On March 1, 2018, a long-time resident of Oaklyn, NJ, age 86. He was the beloved husband to Marilyn (nee Heim) for 66 years. Loving father of Carol Bober (David), Richard A., Jr. (Clare) and Christopher Poplaski (Patty). Dear brother of Regina Gurecki, and the late Frances Steff, Theresa Swierczynski, Joseph Poplaski and Felicia Seidel. He is also survived by his dear grandchildren Matthew (Jenn), David (Carley), Lyn (Kevin), and Kimberly. Great grandchildren Parker, Aubrey, Jack and Lydia Rose. Rich was a Veteran of the Korean War and a member of VFW Post #4463. He was an award-winning artist by trade, past president of the Oaklyn Senior Citizens, a member of PACC, as well as the Revelers. When his children were young Rich coached for the Oaklyn Bettlewood League and was active in the Cub Scouts. Relatives and friends are invited to meet Thursday from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, St. Aloysius Church, 37 West Haddon Ave., Oaklyn. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Camden County Veteran Cemetery, Camden, NJ. In lieu of flowers his family would appreciate memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's NJ, 425 Eagle Rock Ave., #203, Roseland, NJ 07068.
