Norma V. Slemmer

On January 1, 2017, (nee Villani) of Atco, NJ, age 87. She was the beloved daughter of the late Emilio and Yolanda Villani, loving mother of Amy Swan (Douglas), and sister of Gloria Ditchey and the late Benjamin Villani. She is also survived by her dear grandchildren Benjamin and Sarah, as well as her step grandchildren and their children. Norma was a first generation American. She was an Air Force Nurse, who was stationed in Michigan during the Vietnam War. During her nursing career she held positions as an industrial, ship, and surgical nurse and Pediatric Nurse Administrator. She also enjoyed sharing her medical knowledge with others. Norma loved taking care of friends and family and cooking was an extension of her caring for others. She also loved animals and volunteered at the Voorhees Animal Orphanage. Relatives and friends are invited to meet Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 204 Wayne Ave., Haddonfield, NJ 08033. Norma's Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM at the Church. Interment will be private at the request of her family.
