Matthew Lawrence "Larry" Bobco

June 30, 1950 — October 16, 2019

Drawing is not what the artist sees but what an artist can make others feel and it's said that a picture is worth a thousand words. Matthew "Larry" Bobco's words were; determined, thorough, calculated and reserved. He was smart, a life-wise renaissance man who dabbled in good food, good drink and hardwork... "The Larry Way."

The goal isn't to live forever but to transcend the generations and create something that will. After just 69 years, on Wednesday October 16, 2019 it was "Con Te Partiro" time to say goodbye. Larry passed away at Temple University Medical Center in Philadelphia. Death is no more than turning us over from time to eternity and someday we hope that our sadness is replaced with something beautiful.

Larry was born in Camden and had been a long time Collingswood and Haddon Twp. resident. He had contributed to the manpower of our great nation upholding the ideals of our American freedoms as a Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corps. Larry made his career in industrial piping with Burns & Roe in Marlton and also owned and operated Bobco Restorations in Haddon Twp. and could restore anything; houses, cars, etc... Along with his wife, Larry was a trailblazer in Down Syndrome (Trisomy-21) inclusion and advocacy. Mr. Bobco played just as hard as he worked. He enjoyed spending time with "the gang", dining out on Friday night, a glass of red wine on the porch or spending countless hours researching ancestry, heritage and history. Larry Bobco was a man of intellect and art who did not suffer fools gladly.

Larry is the son of the late Mathew L. & Josephine (nee Karpinski) Bobco. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Carol (nee Snyder) Bobco. Larry is the father of Andrew & his wife Christina and Laura Bobco. He is the proud grandfather of Caleb Lawrence and Noah Allen Bobco. Larry is the brother of Judith & her husband Joseph Folweiler, Ed & his wife Joan Fox, Rita & her husband Michael Mrvica as well as the late Barbara Henning & the late Kathy & her husband Bob Foster. Mr. Bobco is also survived and will be sadly missed by his; nieces & nephews, neighbors, friends and classmates.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the Bobco family to remember Larry, celebrate the accomplishments of hard work and determination and pay tribute to a loving husband, father and grandfather. We'll be sharing our heartfelt memories and stories on Sunday afternoon between 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm at Creran Funeral Home 400 White Horse PIke, Oaklyn. As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the St. John of God Community Services 1145 Delsea Dr. Westville, NJ 08093 or William A. Comly Award, Haddon Twp.
