On October 27, 2017, of Gloucester City, NJ, age 91. He is the beloved husband of Dorothy A. (nee Sullivan), loving father of Dennis (Helen) and Elwood A. (Deborah) Strang and dear brother of Wayne and the late Daniel M. Strang. He is also survived by his dear grandchildren Nicole, Desire, Ian and great grandchildren Ryan, Dylan, Lucas, Peyton and Haley. Leon was a proud Navy Veteran of WWII and fought at the Battle of Iwo Jima. He was a former member of VFW Post #9563 in Bellmawr and the Boilmakers Union Local 801 in Camden. Relatives and friends are invited to meet Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at the ETHERINGTON-CRERAN FUNERAL HOME, 700 POWELL ST., GLOUCESTER CITY, NJ. Leon's funeral service will be held 12:00 Noon at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Camden Co. Veterans Cemetery, at Harleigh Cemetery, 1640 Haddon Ave. in Camden.
