Fredrick J. Merkh

On January 1, 2015, of W. Collingswood, NJ. formerly of Haddon Township. Age 90 years. Died peacefully in his sleep surrounded by his family. Loving father of Fritz Merkh (Linda), Joyce Carter (Dan), Diane Murphy (Dave) and Tom Merkh (Angela), Cherished grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and dear brother of Walter and Burwell and the late Daniel Merkh. Fred served in the Army Air Corps 5th Air Force in the South Pacific during World War II, and worked as a superior Jig Grinder / Toolmaker in the Tool and Die Industry for over 50 years. He was an avid surf fisherman and a member of the Merchantville Fishing Club for many years. Relatives and friends are invited to meet Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00pm and again Thursday morning from 10:00 to 11:00am at the CRERAN FUNERAL HOME 400 White Horse Pike, Oaklyn. Funeral services will be held 11:00am at the Funeral Home. Interment to be held Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA.
