Charles M. "Sonny" Tourtual

A longtime resident of Brooklawn, N.J. passed away peacefully at home with his loving family on Dec. 31, 2014 . He fought a year long battle with ALS. Beloved son of the late Charles and Edna Tourtual, loving father of Jill M. Tourtual, PhD, of Clarksboro, and Eve M. Fenton ( Robert) of West Deptford. Dear brother of Shirley Berryman, Ruth Murphy (Thomas), William Tourtual ( Eileen), Diane Goldy ( Frank) and the late Edna " Dolly" Albertson. Devoted grandfather of Elizabeth, Abigail, and Rebecca Fenton. Dear friend of Faith and Tony Milone. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Mr. Tourtual was a graduate of the Gloucester High Class of 1958, served in the NJ National Guard, member of the Fantastic 50s,and Men of Malvern. Known for having a strong work ethic, he continued to work until age 76. He will always be remembered for being a happy man. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Wednesday morning from 8:30-10:30 AM at the Etherington-Creran Funeral Home, 700 Powell Street, Gloucester City, N.J. 08030. Mass of the Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Church, Gloucester City, N.J. Interment New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr .
