Harriet P.

On January 25, 2012 (nee Henrikson) of Gloucester City, age 81.  She was the beloved wife of the late Victor J. Rocco, loving mother of Victor Rocco (Nancy), Roxanne Zane (Thomas), Mark Rocco, Karen Pantalone (Michael), Sharon Welsh (Daniel), Stacey Rocco and the late Kenneth Rocco and dear sister of Harry Wilson.  She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and was predeceased by her grandson Thomas Zane, Jr.  When her children were growing up Harriet had been a coach for the Ponytail Softball League.  She enjoyed playing Bingo and Wii Bowling with the Seniors.  Relatives and friends are invited to meet Monday from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the ETHERINGTON-CRERAN FUNERAL HOME, 700 POWELL ST., GLOUCESTER CITY, NJ.  Harriet’s Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM at the funeral home.  Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers donations to the family in c/o the funeral home would be appreciated.

Linda A.

On January 14, 2012 (nee Walton) of Brooklawn, NJ, age 64, went to be in Paradise with her beloved son Bryan.  She is the beloved wife and life for 44 years of Robert, devoted mother of Jennifer and Jason (Chrissy), cherished Mom-Mom of Abigail and Gavin, loving daughter of Joseph and Helen Walton, dear sister of Deborah Weston (Tom) and sister-in-law of Dianna Williams (Wayne) and Theresa Wills (Joe).  Linda is also survived by her nieces and nephews Kevin (Nicole), Steven (Erin), Lauren, Caitlin, Joseph, Lauren, Sara and Lilly, her cousins Jim Carney (Carol), Jimmy and Erin, her friends Karen Ryan (Rich), Janis Conley (Jim) and Maryann Langley, also special friend of Bob’s cousins Dave and Barb, Diane and Jim, Davene, Eddie and Elsie, Elinore, Cookie and Mike. Also the Nursery School Crew Debbie Amey, Lynn Johnsen, Nancy Motson and Pastor Amey and the entire Brooklawn United Methodist Church Family.  Linda was a proud member of Gloucester High School Class of ‘65 and loved attending her reunions.  She was a devoted, loving and caring teacher for 34 years at the Brooklawn Methodist Church Nursery School, but above all Linda was a loving wife and mother whose entire life was dedicated to her husband, children and grandchildren.  She cherished the times they spent together down the shore.  Relatives and friends are invited to meet Saturday from 9:00 to 11:30 AM at the Brooklawn United Methodist Church, Maude and Hannevig Aves. in Brooklawn.  Funeral services will be held 11:30 AM at the Church.  Interment to be held at the convenience of her family. There is no evening viewing. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial donations in Linda’s name be made to Brooklawn Methodist Church Nursery School at the above address of the Church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Etherington-Creran Funeral Home, 700 Powell St. Gloucester City, NJ.

 

KNOWLES

Robert W., Sr.

On December 17, 2011 of Franklinville, formerly a lifelong resident of Gloucester City, NJ, age 78 yrs.  Beloved husband of Doris J. Knowles (nee Goebel), loving father Donna Read (Angelo), Robert W. Knowles, Jr. (Donna) and David Knowles (Melissa), cherished grandfather of Lisa, Kimberlyn, Stefanie, David, Jr., Daniel, Brianna, Jessica and the late Kevin and proud great grandfather of Alyssa and Kevin.  Mr. Knowles was a life member and served as both Captain and Lieutenant of Pine Grove Fire Co #2 and also loving fishing in his spare time.  Relatives and friends are invited to meet  Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 pm and again Thursday morning from 10:00 to 11:00am at the ETHERINGTON-CRERAN FUNERAL HOME, 700 POWELL ST., GLOUCESTER CITY, NJ.  Funeral services will be held 11:00am at the funeral home.  Interment Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro.  In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial donations in Mr. Knowles’ name be made to the American Cancer Society, 1851 Old Cuthbert Road, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.
